We provide shuttle service into the Shawnee Hills Wine Region of Southern Illinois out of the Paducah/Metropolis area and from within the wine region. You can call Heidi at 618.564.2524 to reserve a date for a tour. Let me help you tailor a tour for your group! The wineries are open year round during the week and week-ends. They plan exciting festivals and several of them provide free live music on week-ends. You're more likely to get personalized attention at times when they are less busy; also, they only give tours of their facilities when they AREN'T busy so you may want to plan your groups' tour for a week-day. Our goal is to provide a fun, relaxing environment in which you can experience the distinctive wines grown and vinted in Southern Illinois. The Shawnee Hills AVA (American Viticultural Area) encompasses an area 20mi. north to south and 80mi. between the Mississippi and the Ohio rivers and boasts two distinct wine trails--the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail and the Southern Illinois Wine Trail. The Southern Illinois Wine Region contains more than 20 wineries and 55 vineyards boasting award winning wines, fine dining, fun activities, art, music, and the friendliest down-home folks to be found anywhere. Several of the wineries feature menues, or you may pack a picnic. Some charge a nominal tasting fee. The basic tour lasts 6 hours and costs $250 ($40 ea. additional hr.) for a minivan (groups of up to 6 people) and costs $400 ($50 ea. additional hr.) for the 15 passenger van (groups of 7 to 14 people).
